Joe has taught classes and workshops up and down the West Coast and across the country. Until recently he was in charge of the teen acting program at Gary Spatz’s The Playground in Los Angeles, one of the most respected young actors programs in the area.
Classes have ranged from on camera acting classes for young people or adults, improv classes for actors or for organized social activities, applied improv or improv therapy sessions for companies or charitable organizations offered to employees or community groups or underprivileged youth.
Joe has a current Child Performance Services permit from the state of California, involving fingerprinting and law enforcement background checks.
A favorite method of teaching is through the art of improvisation. In classes and workshops, Joe has helped students from ages pre-K to post-90 find their artistic voice and, more simply, find out who they are as an individual and explore ways to express themselves effectively, smartly, and honestly.
Coaching rates and workshop pricing negotiable based on group sizes, travel distance, and the needs of the group.
